I dedicate this ode to all of the Good Samaritans that aided this warlord's quest. Play some medieval trill behind it (makes the mood better.)

http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wacko.gif I'll satisfy my agressive tendencies with the Custom Battles for now, till I can finagle a more powerful system from my boss. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wacko.gif

Thanks again, y'all http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

The Matter of a Lackluster Video Card

Heed to those with tops of lap,
The hazards t'will bring to thee
In the matters of the S3 Video
and the little RAM it heeds.

The telling of this gallant tale,
Don Terrore della Mancha lived,
and the quest that brought him tither,
to lay his villains hither.

And yet denied this valiant quest,
our Lord did find his challenge.
Some demons possessed his fiery steed,
and ran him round and scattered.

The Mancha at once valourious,
and pitiful did seek
thru click, and key his victory,
the demons did not flee.

Arrested from his triumph,
The Mancha's fire did not wane.
His final hour spent in him,
fought thru with all in vain.

And then the Citadel appeared,
as through the midst was heaven.
His call went out for succor,
Response was readily given.

Then thundering through the cyber storms,
came riders to his side.
They slew with heartless fury,
smiting all the demons as a tide.

The riders lay a dreadful waste
to all that lay in Mancha's way.
They slew through RAM, and through the night,
And through the following day.

And yet, when all these deeds were done,
the Mancha still was barred.
Alone with Steed possessed of none,
but a lackluster Video Card.

I nearly threw a craptop off a tall building because it was giving me fits during a plant startup. Problem was, I couldn't get any replacement if it died, I was on the other side of the world, and I had to use the corporate image to do anything useful, so I couldn't even buy a personal replacement...they would have paid for it one way or another even if they didn't know it (cheap bastiges that they are.)

Enjoying the stay...

Story Forum; I'd love to participate Every once in a while I wax philosophic, and I've always been curious if there's at least one other person out there that can understand why I'm the only sane one on the planet.

I LIKE THE C#APTOP never heard that one.

My last C#aptop was so horrible my son accidently sat on it. He's born to be a cyberhead he was only 18 months old at the time.

I got this one as a replacement. Should have had him order it; he wouldn't have been as brain-dead as his dad.

You can El. You've been promoted. As a Senior Patron you can now post in all forums except the Tavern. Look for another promotion in a week or two to Junior Member and you will have posting rights to the Tavern as well. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/pat.gif
