NEW Iberian Map MOD Screenshots!!!!!!

New Screenshots, and the only screenshots, of my new campaign map featuring the Iberian Penninsula. Concentrate your efforts as the Spanish, Aragonese, Almohads, or the Pope as to conquer this land. In the regular game, the Iberian Penninsula had 8 regions. Now try to conquer it with this mod containing 99 regions An announcement will be made when it is ready to download for version 1.1 players. So far it looks good, just one thing... ATM you have only Spain, Aragon, the Almohads and what appears to be the pope...

With only four factions, im afraid that the game will degenerate into a giant 1 vs 1 battle, what you would get near the end of the normal campaign...

now this could turn out good where the front lines slowly move back and forth with lots of troops on either side where the war could last easly 100 or more years...

OR

it could turn into a decicive campaign which rages for around five turns and one of the factions collapses and results in an almost total victory...

I would suggest adding other factions such as portugal, navarra etc to help fill out the selection and provide something much more than Spain vs Almohads...

hmm, its actually a nice concept making a campagin to do with the reconquest, but here is some things that will make that mod all the more fun

Factions:

Portugal
Castille
Leon
Aragon
Alamohads
Navere (english) (probably the wrong spelling)

with that, it should turn out well enough, and perhaps but using about 60 areas instead of 99 it will cover a shorter span of years. Make the pope on some island, and make it so he isnt agressive as well

Ok, I can now access your screenprints and have had a good look. I have a few thoughts about this Reconquista map, your current project. I like this project idea. No, not true I REALLY like this project idea But, there are a few issues involved (from what I can see so far), both technical and practical, that will probably cause you a bit of grief later on when you get to releasing it.

Drop me an E-mail, and I'll be happy to discuss some thoughts with you (not that I wish to get involved with what is your project, but just to help you out with some issues I'm aware of - always better to circumvent potential problems in the earliest stage of developement, be it software, a modding project or whatever).

I can help u with factions: there were several kingdoms (muslims and catholics) in the iberian peninsula along the middle ages, depending of the century we r talking about. In fact, i can affirm that cohexisted 6 christian kingdoms and 12 muslim ones. If u want, just tell us when do your campaign starts and i will gladly help.

Just wondering...Where are the Balearic Islands?They were important during the Reconquista.

Alrowan: Navarre english? Navarre was another spanish kingdom. It was the main christian kingdom until Castille replaced it in the XI century. Just another spanish faction, never can be considered as an english province.

SirNateofWessex: In my opinion, giving a faction to the Inquisition is a complete lack of realism. Bishops' armies???no place for this. Few military orders were powerful,yes, (such as Order of Calatrava, Santiago, Montesa, etc), but they were submitted to the christians kings.

I have decided prior to reading all your post to make this mod also available with what the users wants, more factions and the such, but I needed some responses by you all to see what I need to do. My mod is good (being cocky), but I want it to be better and want suggestions to make it better because unlike my Middle East Map Mod, which is available in the downloads sections of the ORG, I will continue to make this the best mod ever with help from others. I will be contacting some of you soon about possible changes after I talk to Wellingto and sees what he sees as a problem with my mod.

Al Shama'ar: No offense intention, it was only a suggestion of which faction of the game is better to start to develop a portuguese kingdom; if the game included portuguese and didnt include spanish, then i suggested portuguese for this mod for castille, leon, etc. Of course Portugal must be a different faction, no doubt at all.
