The game had some problems when it was released but it was still a awesome game. Then Activision did what a lot, dare i say most, publishers don't do. You let your developers address the problems. Congratulations, you get a spot on my "Buy on Sight" list. Coming from an extremely picky, demanding, and critical gamer like me, that is a big compliment. What I mean to say is, j00 r0xx0r I look forward to buying you games in the future. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

GREAT JOB

Developers who are active in the community AND follow through on their promises? WOW http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/shock.gif

Devs don't get enough compliments so I have to lay it on thick. Creative Assembly = LEET.

How could you let them put horns on the viking's helmets tho? I bet they had to sneak that one past you eh? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif One day you guys finally saw the box and were like. . . wtf, HORNS? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

But, again, awesome job You deserve raises Even if you did let them sneak a horny box by you. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Actually, it was quite a fight to get them to even consider making a patch. And, Activision still is not even close to one of my favorites.

Well, I've had good experiences with Activision. They haven't disappointed me. And I'm sure that the marketing department looked at sales reports instead of TotalWar.org.

All I ask is that a game I buy work like it should, eventually. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Good for you Jikahn. I feel the same way actually. It must be a nightamre trying to get a game as complicated and as good as this together let alone find all of the problems that only exist on one particular system.
If you look at the fact that there have only been avbout three patches and each of those actually did more than just fix problems. The pollicy of testing before a knee jerk reaction I think has done them a lot of favours. I understand that both Half Life and Quake 3 or well into the double figures on the patches that they released. Proving that actually trying to fix theproblem rather that papering over it is the way to go.

That may be true in most cases but if the developers come in here and then go tell them... then they do have to take a look. If the guys in here hadn't started to stir up things and send emails and stuff i do not know if there would be a patch. My guess is that if they could get away without anyone saying anything they would.
