View Full Version : Another modding problem!
Sorry for being a newbie, but why do I get this when using the LukMapMaker trying to test the map:
21:02:48 Error: Invalid keyword (UsersMapRes) specified in Parameters.txt
21:02:48 Error: Invalid keyword (LandBorderWidth) specified in Parameters.txt
21:02:48 Error: Invalid keyword (WriteXrefTxt) specified in Parameters.txt
21:02:48 Error: Invalid keyword (WriteDicsTxt) specified in Parameters.txt
21:02:48 Error: Invalid keyword (SETGoods) specified in Parameters.txt
21:02:48 Error: Invalid keyword (SETResources) specified in Parameters.txt
21:02:48 Error: Invalid keyword (OptionalSETs) specified in Parameters.txt
This seems to happen whatever map I try to run. Help :P

Gure, I've copied your post into the Dungeon Edit2 forum here (http://www.totalwar.org/cgi-bin/forum/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=26;t=10370;r=1;&#top).

Hi Greg,
You've copied this post into the Dungeons Edit2 forum but unfortunately no one can post in this forum (Shand, LK, B - is the intention that the Edit2 forum is not a general forum for posting to?
Anyway, looks to me by virtue of the fact that Gure is saying LukMapMaker that maybe Gure has downloaded an ealier version that was'nt complete/correct.
Everyone calls it LMM now. The version to use is 4.1 (although I know several people still use 3.3 sucessfully).
There are still LukMapMaker downloads from the Org but no-one should use this very early version - in fact it may be an idea to delete it just for clarities sake.

Thanks for the replies and shown interest everyone. Great to see such a friendly board http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
Wellington: I am, in fact, using LMM4.1, so that should not be what's causing the error. What are the other alternatives?
Thanks yet again
Gure

I moved topic from edit2 into edit1,
edit2 is disabled at the moment, i think we'll leave it that way for now,
so all Q's and responses are in edit1, means we'll only have to check edit1 for new posts, edit2 will become the archive of Q&A's, easier to search that way,

i use 3.3 because 4.1 wont run on my system, i cant reserve enough memory for it, BUT it also means i have to do more work by hand, rather than use all the neat features on 4.1,
This little glitch, (Which is NOT Welly's fault, but microsoft's lousy programming), should be resolved for the next version.

probably a reasonable idea, we might make a new folder for older versions of utilities such as this, just for hardcore peeps who want to see how the util's evolved.

Hi Gore,
Ok, I know what this now - my fault I'm afraid http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif
When we were developing LMM we had a few simple examples that were also downloadable. However the Paramters.txt file in these examples related to earlier versions of LMM but does'nt relate to LMM4v1.
In other words, in LMM4v1 I removed some of the parameters that I considered where no longer necessary (LMM4v1 was a bit of a tidy-up release).
Hence these parameters, whilst being ok for LMM1/LMM2/LMM3 ar'nt necessary for LMM4. Just delete them from your 'Parameters.txt' file and try it again. Should work ok.
