View Full Version : shogun beaters
it looks like shoguns crown of being the best rts tactical war game around could be ending easter next year with amazing game called warrior kings being released i think everyone should check it out at warriorkings.com and tell me what you think!?!?!
Shogun is not an RTS game. Warrior Kings appears to have a large fantasy element, and nothing is said about fatigue and morale systems. It does look like a step up from the typical RTS since height and formations are included in the gameplay.

looks like the STW addicts has spoken...well, three of them anyway
ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!
I won't even get into details........
I'll leave it with "linear campaign". What a hoot! Some people just don't get it.
The only thing that's going to "de-throne" STW is MTW.

Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

Well - M:TW will be topping shogun - no doubt of that. However, it should be noted that one RTS did in fact take advantage of height - Total Annihilation - the original one. Height increased both sight and attack range. Note that TA also had true Line of Site options - so units behind trees and hills were not seen. True LoS was unheard of - and even now is rarely seen. For those who like a good RTS (such as the Warcraft, C&C and RA series) should definitely check out the original Total Annihilation. Note that TA:Kingdoms was a flop however.
Qapla!
