Putting his Life in a Historic Campaign:

"The Tribune" 5 A.D. - A fictious Scenario in which Arminius leads Germanic Auxilia and Roman Units against other Germanics to display his Service in the Roman Army.

"The Varus Battle - Day 1" 9 A.D. - Day 1 of the Varus Battle, surround the Romans and enclose them in the Vally so they can't flee. Surrvive 20 Minutes against their will to break out.

"The Varus Battle - Day 2" 9 A.D. - Day 2 of the Varus Battle, romans try a breakout. Smash those Units who try it

"The Varus Battle - Day 3" 9 A.D. - Day 3 of the Varus Battle, Varus and most of the important Officers already did sucide. Now it's Judgement Day: Go in and defeat the dismoralised rest of Varus' Army

"Siege of Segestes' Castle" 15 A.D. - Arminius storms a Minor City defended by Roman and Germanic Units... You only have 15 Minutes of Time to win, otherwise Segestes will hide in the highest Tower. Can you do what Arminius could not accomplish? (Very difficult Scenario)

"Revenge" 15 A.D. - A Battle of Arminius and Tiberius' Troops, take revenge for the kidnapping of Thulsneda and Thumelicus Very Bloody Battle...

Please vote for an historic Campaign in RTW called "Arminius - Libertator Germaniae" (how Tacitus called him). http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Zitat[/b] ] Special Detail on Arminius: Arminius was in service of the Romans as an Officer, as you might know. He also had some Militery Awards and still used his roman armor when he turned Duke of the Allemannens The Gamestar contained a Screenshot that should have shown him, which doesn't fit on his discription. Arminus and Flavus ment "Blonde Guy" in Latin, so Arminius was Blonde, not red-hair like on the Screenshot. Additionally he still has to wear his Roman Legionaire Armor with some Medals on the Chest, so this "Detail" should also be inplented

For Arminius' Potrait if he is included, also for his 3D-Body...

you have my vote Stefan, but you can't say he was better than Ariovistus, even if the last one was defeated. He just didn't had commited warriors.

This is a typical behavior of Germans, NEVER leave a thing unfinished or stop fighting before the end. Expecially if "Daddy Germany" needs our help...

I read recently about an embryonic EU security force in last couple of months, will Germany, ever the multi-lateral state play a big part in this security force?

NEWS - NEWS - NEWS

Arminius and Sigfrid/Sigurd are the same person http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

1. In the Sigfrid Saga his father is known as Sigmund in some cases even Sigimer, the father of Arminius the romans knew was called Sigimerus. Strange similarity.

2. In the Nibelungenlied it's mentioned Sigfrid spoke a couple of diffrent languages, Arminius spoke Latin perfectly as well as many germanic Dialects.

3. Both are discribed as tall, strong and blonde Men with an outpowering Courage.

4. Both were assasinated by their Relatives.

5. Sigfrid defeats the Dragon in an ambush, Arminius defeats the Romans by Tricks. The same "Intelligence defeats Strength" Idea.

6. Sigfrid is the most popular Figure from germanic Mythology, Arminius the most important Figure in germanic History. Sigfrid must have been very important that all germanics knew him...

Throughout Tacitus reports that the germanics honored Arminius in Poems and Songs, it was not unrealistic that the Saga-Arminius turned to Sigfrid. As we all know the Sigfrid-Myth is much older than the rest of the Niebelungen Saga which originated in 453 (with Attila's Death) so origins of Sigfrid must lay in Acient Times.

I guess this is interessting...

This can't be true, as the heroes' location were the Netherlands.

Zitat[/b] ]This can't be true, as the heroes' location were the Netherlands.

The nordic Sigurd is made danish, for example.

In the Times the Niebelungen-Saga is originated (425 A.D.) wheter the name "Netherlands" nor a dutch-tribe is known. But Germania Inferior (which means "Germanisches Niederland" in Latin) existed and is acctually the reason for the modern name "Netherlands".

The Sigfrid-Saga is much older and belongs together with the Wölsunga-Saga. The "new" parts in the Niebelungenlied go back to the old Atli-Story, which reports about Attila's death.

I can't proove it's that way and on the otherside nobody can disproove it, simply see it in the spectrum of "Theory".
