http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif Welcome to the Org dessa14. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif
As to your question, I think there is but I can't for the life of me remember which it is. I can tell you that my clan (Doragon) started out as a primarily Ozzie clan. It eventually turned to a half Oz half Yank with a Pom or two to make things interesting when subjects such as Cricket, rugby and football came up. We've been slumbering with just 2-4 members for the past 12-18 months. Our game play online is very sporatic, but barocca (a Queenslander too) and I are very active as staff members here at the Org. A couple of old members have recently reappeared with grumblings of a return. That, coupled with a new member or two and maybe... Anyway, swing by our Great Hall (http://pub35.ezboard.com/bthegreathall92696) (forums) if you are at all interested.
If you'd like to find a Australian clan that is a little less lethargic, I'm sure someone will pop in and identify their clan.

You are right Pitt_Slayer. They were the clan that came to mind when I first thought about dessa's question. However, I spent quite a while exploring their web site (nice BTW) and forums and found nothing to indicate they are predominantly Oz clan.
Thats it im sick of waiting for a clan, ill create one though i don't know the rules to making clans any wishing to join again send mail to dessa14@hotmail.com i will need help so any experienced clan members who are sick of the way their clan is organised send mail.
thanks dessa
P.S there is one rule though you must be australian or used to be an australian

dessa, if you write up a little announcement, we can post it in the Barracks forum for you.
Also, you might want to pay a visit to the TotalWars.net forums (http://www.totalwars.net/forum/portal.php) as they cater to the MP crowd.

Hi dessa14,
I'd sign up on a trial basis http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/tongue.gif but I'm living on a 56k dial-up, university service which entitles me to bugger all in the line of Net time and download quota, as well as having to put up with a Guantanamo Bay-type firewall. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/pissed.gif
Also, I haven't really been playing lately. *cough* thesis *cough* http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
Perhaps next year or whenever, provided MTW is still the flavour of the month.

Maybe there will be a clan Russell Crowe for RTW http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smokin.gif Embarresingly bad joke I admit, http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif
just some info for aussie gamers, dont stress if your net connection is slow, i played for quite some time on an old 36k, with no problames at all. 56k is more than enough, it just means yo wont really be able to host anything bigger than a 2v2, but you can join all games

dont think there will be any hosting with a guantanamo type fire wall http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/tongue.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/pat.gif

Alrowan,
Believe me, my ISP really sucks arse. Although the connection is officially 56k, only once have I seen it go above 6. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif And that was a freak burst of activity that lasted all of ten seconds.
But I must admit that the service has improved somewhat as of late. The transfer rate averaged 2kb/sec a couple of years ago, but it has since doubled. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/dizzy.gif I don't know whether to applaud or bang my head on my desk
dessa14,
I'm at UQ. Your curiosity suggests that you are also a uni student, am I right? If so, which uni? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

just a little bit of info,
modem speed is measured in bits, not bytes,
thus 56k modem is in reality 56 KiloBITS, not KiloBytes,
we dived 56,000 bits by 8, to get the number of bytes,
(7000 bytes,)
then divide again by 1024 to get how much kilobytes,
giving an end result of,
6.8K
http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif
so seeing it reach 6k was about peak speed,
the average is more likey to be between 4k and 5k...
