Here's mine-

I was playing as the English, and sent an emissary to the French princess asking for her hand in marriage. She refused, so I had her assassinated. I don't think it helped my strategic position any, but it was deliciously evil[/I]...and fun. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif

I usually kill all my butt ugly princesses because I can't handle their uglyness, and my Assasin gets higher ranks.

So you get to do a nice clean up of the gene-pool, and give your assassins some practice to boot. Good idea.

Man, can you imagine a king having all of his ugly daughters killed off? I'll bet it happened. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wacko.gif

And you could kill all the crazy ones too. Wait a minute, if you killed all the ugly and crazy ones, there'd be no one left. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif

I don't think it can qualify has a dirty trick but it sure is dirty: when i have lots of princes and princesses i marry them with each other. You can say incest runs in the family http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/tongue.gif
Also, i tend to use lots of spys, to try to make enemy provinces to rebel. Usually i wait for them to rebel, to whack off the rulers of the province and then i buy the rebelling army. Eheh.

I've killed off all the heirs and royal generals of a faction and waited for them to die off.

Eliminated the leader of a new or re-emerging faction because his existance irritated me.

Elimated another faction's fleet and then forced a ceasefire.

Quite a few others, but I can't reveal all my secrets. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

I've done this only twice. When your allies are fleeing the field, you backstab them. They are now listed as enemies, and your troops will now be happy as the enemy are fleeing. This can prevent you from routing and might even win the game for you.

Waited till all of my ally is on the bridge http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif

Unfortuanately it counted as a loss even though I got the territory but hey the loss was worth me getting it and not him wich woulda happened if I did'nt do that. I guees since my ally was suppose to get that territory and me thats why I got a loss

When I played once with the Byzantines from the late period in glorious achievements I was second in points behind the Spanish.I had one crazy assassin whom I had trained killing the Pope again and again as he allways had few stars. So I managed to make my assassin a 7 rank one and I extinguished the Spanish with him by killing the king's heirs and him personally. It was only a few years before 1453 so it was close http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smokin.gif

I let my assassins do their work against the Byzantine Generals. After killing the 7, 8 Star guys, I declared war on them.

Bribed the governor of a rich, well-developed province deep within enemy territory, where I had no chance of holding it -- then deleted all the buildings.

I got almost as much cash back as I spent on the bribe, and gutted one of his key provinces. The army I bribed also beat several small armies that attacked it. The bribed governor was eventually captured. I paid a small ransom and had a three-start general to boot.

Hello mandt and welcome. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

Nice topic. Alas I've nothing to contribute, what with polishing my halo and all that. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif
