This is just to get feedback on what type of version of MTW you are playing with.
Do you actually use the mods released, ie Patrician, Medmod etc ?
If he answer to this question is no, then could you please tell me why you dont use mods.

Ok I will start it all off. I have about four didnt versions of MTw installed on my machine. One is a pure version (un-modded) for general online play etc.
I also have other versions with varying mod's installed.

I have two on at the moment, one with my mod i'm working on and one with the Middle Earth battle on. I think it would be wise to have one un-modded one there, but i can't really be bothered http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif

I'm still using Paladin's 1092 mod, it's quite good
Well this week-end I'll have a total of 5 different versions installed, including the N:TW Mod, and the ME:TW mod.

Normal VI
MTW 1.1 with the new ME:TW beta
MedMod
However, tonight I get another treat and get to install a new version with the NapMod beta http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I play MTW v2.0, tho I am quite intrueged by the napolean and middle earth mods. I may give them a go, but I'm just too lazy to install MTW in different directories, then d'load the mod on my dial up, then faff around getting it to work...Like I said, lazy. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
I'll probly play the wesmod soon as there is talk in the Throne Room of a wesmod PBEM.
Don't know if it counts as a mod, but I fixed some spelling and grammar mistakes in the Italian localization, and while I was at it I also made a couple of adjustments to the Italian hero list.
Next steps:
- Make a clean install of 1.1 + VI (which I bought 2 hrs ago, hehe)
- Make another clean install of 1.1 + MedMod.
- Make yet another 1.1 install for modding and hacking things http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I have 2 versions of mtw on each of my 2 computers.
I use one as a test for metw modding issues, another for unmodded play, the next one for NTW (havent got it yet) the last one for whatever other mod I happen to stumble across. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I play Wes' MedMod exclusively, and today came to the conclusion that Wes is so prolific in his modding, creating new/updated versions overnight, that I can't seem to get more than 50 turns per update
Presently, Windows is broken (but working) on my system, tommrrow I plan to install Windows on another harddrive, etc., and today it occurred to me that having more than one version would be a good idea.
So, eventually, I'll have 3 (or 4) versions, vanilla MTW, IV with the MedMod version (current ongoing Campaign), and another with the latest Medmod version (playtesting); and another I'll probably start to fool around with modding or perhaps I should put that, tweaking the MedMod.

MedMod, latest beta 3.X, exclusively. Without it, I probably wouldn't be playing MTW. Wes W has created a game with constant surprises, and you better be good, or you won't win.

I generally prefer Grell's mod, The First Crusade.
I've found Wes's mod interesting, but for me it does not *feel* right. I can't explain it, I just follow my instincts
I don't use released mods, because I do my own modding and this insures that I will be 100% happy with the mod. Not that other mods are bad, I just like to be the one controlling what gets changed.

1. Medmod 3.07 of course
2. Napleonic TW -shaping up to be quite brilliant
3. Interregnum- not at present but interesting
4. Kekvit's mod -not a present but interesting
5. My own edits(hardly a mod) for a Uber-agents/low trade mod.
Looking forward to LOTR mod and Hellenic mods when I get the time.

No, but I will give the ME: TW and Nap mods a ride as soon as I have some time.
