Have just read here that emissaries get stars by stripping titles. But I never have seen that in my games. The only way they got experince I saw was when they made treatys and peaceagreements or buying rebel armies.

So here my question: How do emmissaries get experience?

AFAIK they only get experience when making alliances

or by bribing armies. That's all.

Emissaries can also gain stars for anti-spying in your provinces if you dont have spies or assassins there. Not sure if this is supposed to happen, but it does.

What happens if you have more than one spy/assassin/emm in your province. Who gets the experience from killing an enemy spy/assassin? Or is it shared?

I believe stars go to the most experienced spy, then other spies, then assassins, then most starred emissary down to other emmissaries, I think Assassins fit in between spies and emissaries but dont quote me on it. This just tends to follow what I have experienced.

Actually, I think the experience goes to whoever was lucky enough to have made the catch. Having more units to counter-spy does not accumulate the chances of detection. Each unit has their own individual chance rating. Therefore, which ever unit happens to make the detection gets the experience, which is much more likely to occur on units who have higher stars already.

Hmm, I've never seen that anybody else than a spy got a star for a detection.

Can spies still open the castle gates during a siege if you've installed VI?
