It changes at 50, 100, 200 & 400 I think. Have a look around at people who have less than 500 posts and see what avatar and description they've got, and how many posts and thats what you've got to look forward to. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Me, I'm closing in on 500 posts when I get a custom avatar and custom title. Yay me http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Do the avatars mean anything? Looking at mine I think that I am a young turk. Time to go stir up some trouble, down with the sultan. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif

Well, you can't change your avatar, but you can put a picture in such a way that when people press on your avatar, they see a the picture, just like I did, I'm not sure it's available for Junior Patrons though.
btw - your avatar changes to man at Arms when you reach 25
Judean Prince, I like that trick. How did you do that? Nice picture, is it a self portrait?

Thanks Dhepee, in your profile, right in the end, there is an option to put in a URL for an image on the web. and no, it's not a self portrait lol, I stumbled upon this picture while surfing the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) website, I thought it symbolizes a lot, as in the Jewish soldier praying for peace, though there is a tank behind him...
I didn't realize that you could maximize the window (how long have I been using windows http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif ). I just saw the man praying. You're right it is a very wonderfully contrasted picture. Unfortunately I can't read the text at the bottom.
I am not a junior patron but still I cant put a pic in my posts?? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/mecry.gif
