Will be the modability (that a word?) of the game. Personally I know diddly squat about modding games but I do recognise that in most online gaming communities, and total war is no exception, have a wealth of talented individuals who are willing to give up their free time to modify and improve their favourite games for the enjoyment of their peers.
Anyone who has played Half-life:Counter-Strike, BF1942 Desert Combat or any of the other Fps knows the value of the modding community.
I'm also a fan of Morrowind, an above average game that became great due to the contributions from a dedicated community that churns out a simply staggering number and variety of mods so that the game can be customised to match your own interests.
So CA please, you're working to a deadline and its enevitable that many of the requests for game features from the denizens of the .org will have to go unaddressed if you ever hope to release the game, so please leave the game as open to modifications as possible. That way if we don't like the shape of the horses or the fact that all the soldiers have the same face, then it can be fixed by enterprising individuals who are not limited by time constraints.

Agree It's important, but not the most important (those are gameplay, AI ect.. IMO http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

But it's always nice that if the developers screw up the community can fix the game. Not that CA would screw up (the community would probably kill them all if they did http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif )

Luckely Rome is very mod friendly, so we probably gonne see a lot of mods around.

*does a prayer for LOTR mod*
