yea this is funky,..it says because im a junior i can only post on the entrance hall... http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif

Ne way,...i wanted to know if anyone has tried making new sprites/units for the Scots, i think the clansmen they have in MTW are a bit un-Scottish...has anyone tried making new sprites/units so they have their kool quilts and broad swords just how they show them on their unit profile picture?

Well, post a bit in the Entrance Hall, be very nice to people, don't use any naughty words, praise the tireless efforts of the Moderators, and after 6 or 7 days you'll get promoted and be able to post anywhere ...

... at which stage you can wander all over other peoples posts, wantonly abusing at will http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Think of it as a week long job interview http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

No ones done any new units with kilts as far as I'm aware. The Naps mod has Highlanders in kilts and I believe LBA ( Lord Black Adder) did some other 19C kilted units some time ago, but they arn't medieval types.

At present the modding group is on the verge of many breakthroughs with entirely new unit creation, principally as a result of DJ (Duke Johns work in this area).

Have a read of some of DJ's posts in The Dungeon (Edit1) - he recently posted a topic on 'mercenary units' -and when you've proven yourself to be a good little patron you can perhaps add a request for DJ.

Hello Akatura. Welcome to the forums of the Org. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif You ain't seen funky until we ask you to stand on one leg in your town square with a handful of whipped cream and singing America the Beautiful just to be promoted to Senior Member.

Regarding our membership policy, Welly has it pretty much right except for the bit about praising the moderators - that isn't necessary. Five and ten dollar bills will do just fine. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif Just kidding, of course. Oh, and don't hold us to 6 or 7 days for promotion. It could be much sooner or it could be longer. It all depends upon the contents of your interview. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

As for your main question, you got an answer from one of the local modding experts. Can't top that.

Yeah, Gregoshi's right. Some people get promoted after a few days. For me it was a few weeks. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
Don't worry, you'll be one of us sooner or later. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/pat.gif

I wondered about that senior member stuff. I thought I'd have to wait two more years for my AARP card.

Actually becoming a Senior Member isn`t that hard. The singing part is rather a test for the mods, hehe. Only the pressure test in the centrifuge is somewhat annoying. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I think the Duke Dick posts highlight why this is such a good system. This is one of the best online forums i know. Keep up the good work mods.

Thank you Tosa,...

From what these people have told me, in order to be a Senior member, you have to participate in some kind of ritual http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif
