I've just noticed a new group Awaiting Authorisation. What the hell does this mean? Why is it such a small group? Why can't I have my own little group as well?
I've also noticed an avator with 3 little coloured boxes underneath Yellow, orange and red. What the hell does this mean? Why can't I have 3 coloured boxes as well (I'd like Red, white and blue if possible - because I'm British - if thats not possible Red, red and red will do fine - 'cos I'm a Liverpool supporter) ?
Is this favouratism? How can we no-bodies acquire such status?
Org politics ...

I noticed this new status Awaiting authorisation too. I've been tinkering and I think I've found way to acquire this holy grail:

You mean, you want a yellow card and Awaiting authorisation status for mispelling? Or stating the obvious?

Louis,
Konnichiwa Wellington san,
This group has always been here, it's one of the 4 default groups that are available when Ikonboard is installed. The Groups are: Guest, Awaiting Authorisation, Member and Super Administrator. I don't consider myself super, so this was my first edit.
Virtually everyone who visits this board (or is not logged in) is Guest. Anyone who signed up on this board, became Awaiting Authorisation. Those two Groups can read the forums, but not post. This explains why one won't see these Groups.
At times accounts are damaged or even lost. I don't know whether this is caused by action of the user, the SQL database, some network hicup or bugs in this board. An e-mail to tosainu@totalwar.org or one of the moderators suffice to restore such accounts (recover from backup or reset). Can't guarantee anything (it's software after all, with a human factor involved), but we'll do our best.
So, an account that turned corrupt after a post has been made (that does happen with a password change at times), will show the Await group.
You can add any picture (as long as it can be shown to kids and meets the limits in filesize) to your profile, please check the URLAvatar topic in the Watchtower to learn more.
Edit: spelling.

Louis,
I fear you misunderstand.
1111 is Dutch slang for f****r Whilst we cultured types often use similar numbers to represent the sexual act (eg - 69) the Dutch favourite is 1111, which serves to illustrate, via numerical innuendo, their sexual tendancies -
a) invariably the horizontal position
b) preferably wife swopping
Ever been to Amsterdam? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
Wellington, I've been to Amsterdam and I'm still not sure how I didn't fall into a canal. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/eek.gif

Louis,
Aaaahhh
Now I understand. Sorry, I didn't explain this.
Weligntom is NOT a misspelling of Wellington.
Rather it's another Dutch euphamism that is really an acronym of a famous Dutch saying, roughly translated as -
We like to go on tom ('Tom' being the proverbial, but rather unfortunate, 'Tom, Dick and Harry'http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
It's really a throwback to several hundred years ago when the Dutch invented Homosexuality (well, what else do you do when you've been working up a sweat digging canals all day? ).
Ok, I'd better shut up now, because sooner or later, if I carry on in this vein, I'll get my own little group, together with my own three little colours ...
... and not necessarilty of my choosing http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Being very distrustfull now because of your former pranks, I looked you up in my Dutch dictionary:
you [ju:] Ivnw gij, u, jullie; je, men; ~fellows, (people, chaps) jullie; IIpoor ~ (modder, welignton)
So what are you trying to say, huh punk I see right through you With your little wordgames.

Louis,
PS; BTW can you give some arguments on your claim that Dutch invented Homosexuality... Digging canals? And Venice? Are they in too?
To my knowledge, English have not been great canal digger, and still....

I did a quick search on the internet, and while I couldn't find a historic reference dating back to hundreds of years ago. I did find a series of pictures which were used for educational purposes. This particular image shows how peat-cutters let others know of their sexuality:

Now, now DJ. Surely you can't be accusing the Irish as being a nation of 'flikkers'.
My, my, what would the pope say http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

My copy of Van Dale (1988) lists you as being
- 0.1 (enk) jij
- 0.2 ,n jullie
Weird Maybe that specific acronym is no longer in general use.
However, I checked 'Chambers' American-English dictionary, which identifies 'John' as being -
1.0 - a slang word for lavatory
1.2 - a slang word for male customers of female prostitutes
There was no entry for Duke John
