SetGameEndDate does not function properly in MTW 1.1 (it probably works if you set the start date past 1453, but if you leave everything the same and set the end date to something later than 1453, it just doesn't work unless you play straight through until you get past 1453).
I was just wondering if SetGameEndDate functions properly in VI. I'm hoping the answer is yes http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif because I'm getting VI soon http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

It works fine in both versions 1.1 AND VI, I have mods in both versions with the command in the startpos and no trouble so far http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif LOS
Just confirming that I, too, have gotten the command to work in v1.1. It works without changing anything else. You did start a new campaign after making the changes, right? It only takes effect then, although I've heard you can save the game and reload to take effect but I've never tried it personally.

Yes I made the changes before starting a new campaign. I've tried three campaigns (two on high and one on late with the changes and in all three it didn't work).

I did some more testing and it works if I don't exit the game. If I save a game at say 1452 and then reload without ever having exited the game, it works fine. But then if I exit the game and then load it up again, it doesn't work.
I had done a search of the forums and someone said that SetGameEndDate works in VI, but not in MTW 1.1. I'm hoping he was right http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
In the meantime I downloaded the savegame fix which changes the date to 1454 http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
Thanks for all your replies and help.

I would reiterate that the set game end date works fine on MTW V1.1 I have 2 mods that are using it no problems, cant get any clearer than that. LOS
