View Full Version : non-Suicidal AI generals
Has anyone ever tried making AI generals less aggresive? It seems that if each faction had a Body Guard type unit of Heavy-Elite Cav, but which was given a 'defender' role in the unit class, then the AI generals - at least the King and Hiers - may not charge into battle quite so quickly.
Has anyone ever tried this?

I love teaching them a lesson. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smokin.gif
And if you think that this makes them too easy to kill - try to use your generals in the same way - and your battles will be far more interesting (there will always be a possibility that you can loose http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/eek.gif and this will add some realism).
I always send my generals into combat - and sometimes they ger killed, but that's what a total war is all about Anyone can die: a pope, a king, and your own general too http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/flirt.gif
