Vanya ponders... will the old Oracle be a part of the game? It would be interesting to have some con priest tell you that your dear allies are planning to shove a javelin through your noggin as you march through their lands in the comming campaign...
What do youz thinks?

Never thought of that.
While I believe the heroic greek era had passed Oracles were still highly valued and their words taken very seriously.
Did the Oracle of Delphi still exist during RTW's timeframe?

The Oracle survived both fire (548 BC) and earthquake (373 BC), with rebuilding that is. It was also plundered a few times (279 BC for example by Gauls). I suspect that by the time period of RTW it was more of a archeological curiosity than a living temple.

The Oracle of Delphi was definately still active in the first century AD as Plutarch was a priest there for a time.
Oracles in general were around for a long time afterwards. The Apostate Emperor Julian consulted oracles (4th century AD), although these are likely to have been new or re-emerged oracles as his predecessors had gone a long way towards destroying the Hellenic religion.
hah if they did implement it I would bring my romans and smash the oracle of delphi as a token of Roman Power I might keep the parthenon but behead Athena
