View Full Version : I wonder if it's possible to loop the music?

Everyone knows that the best battles are the ones that last at least half an hour, maybe even up to an hour. I asked this question a year ago at the GameFAQ forums but there wasn't many modders around. Depending on what faction you're playing (Euro/Arab), you get to listen to three songs in battle. First is the tension i think, then when you start moving your troops the mobility song plays, then when the troops engage the battle song plays. Each song is marvelously composed, but their too short, 1 min each. That's 3 min of music in a 30 minute battle, which means 27 minutes of complete silence except for the clinging clanging of the fighting. I know repeating music can be annoying, but is there some way to mod the game so it randomly triggers the songs again, ie when the two armies disengage and rally troops, another song plays again, then when they clash again the battle song plays again.

If there's absolutely no way to "edit" the MTW files to do this, then maybe I can tamper with the mp3's to make them longer?

Greetings I-M, I think you are on the right track, the music files are very forgiving easy to edit, so I think making the tracks longer is the best way to go, I have edited the wav files to include different types of music and it did not seems to matter the size of the file. LOS

There is a good program called MP3 splitter and Joiner that can be used to merge pieces of music together or add silent or do whatever you want.
