WTF happend i was playing VI in the early campaign, and i decide to take a rebel province with my kings two brothers.
My allies the Polish appear to and they hade a lot more than i had. So i thought lets attack them later in the battle, and so i did, i charged them, and destroyed both them and the rebels, however when the battle is over i get the message that the Alliance has won the day, and the province goes to the Polish. Next turn im at war with them.
Now why did the province go to the Polish?

the army going into the battle with the biggest stack wins the province. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif

GAH

If your stack is smaller, then you get INFLUENCE for helping your neighbor enslave the rebels.

Of coure this worked a little different in Shogun You got the territory but it was considered a loss since your ally lost
