Is there anyway to expedite the reinforcement to show up ?
Will by routing the unit in battle field will automatically call the reinforcement unit ?
Thanks

Your reinforcements will arrive when a slot, refer to the flags in the buttom, are gone from the field. Ways to makes units disappear is: Rout them (not preferable), with draw the Ctrl+w or shift+w (much better, they wont loose morale), and of course to loose them due to enemies.

Actually they only come when they feel like it. This my major gripe with MI. I hope they change it for MTW so reinforcements are like STW.

GAH! What happens is this.
Say youz have 2 armies in a province you are at war in, your main one and a 2nd one. And say the second one is put together as a single army, not discreet units. Furthermore, assume that the 2nd army is, say, 8 units.
Now, for youz to get any units as reinforcements, you will have to rout or lose 8 whole units from your main army before the reinforcements will come in. That is, the whole 2nd army enters or it doesn't enter at all.
So, if you think you will need timely reinforcements, make sure your secondary support armies are numerous and small in unit count. That is, support armies of 2 units will come in when you lose 2 units. Buddha forbid your 2nd army is a full 16... notice then that the pigs only venture in when you lose your WHOLE army!
GAH!
Vanya:
What you said does make sense, but can you confirm this?
I always arrange the armies into as large groups as possible, and I admit that I seldom get any reinforcement at all, but sometimes the "pigs" do come.
Of course I want to believe ya, because then we can at least have a solution to this notorious (which can and should be easily fixed if CA paid the single-player campaigns enough attention) "feature" of MI.

Finally a decent answer on this! It does still suck - since most everyone will not have alot of discreet units in a single province. Much easier to stack an army...

good work Vanya, whether or not your info is confirmed, the erratic nature of my own reinforcments is probably for the reason you've stated. in other words, i'm willing to believe it.
