I have been looking for a clan for a few weeks now, most cannot even answer your recruitment emails.
Some clan members seem to be either illiterate or just plain rude online.

Not a convincing example of MTW community i must say.

I think i'll just stay solo.

Most clans have their own ways of recruiting people. Due to problems in the past, many clans just won't take in people "on the first day of playing online" or the first time someone wrote them a letter. I am not saying that you are new or unskilled, I am just saying it in general.

Some clans are nationality based. You speak Spanish, French, Chinese, German, Italian or Polish you are more likely to be welcomed at Celtiberos, Marechaux de Napoleon, Taiwan Cavaliers, Elite, LunaRossa or Duchy of Moldovia (sorry if I got last one wrong, out of my poor memory). (I said more likely...)

Some other clans required you to get a reputation for yourself first, then follow through a bunch of things you have to do (like collecting heads) and then you are made full member of the clan.

Some other clans, you need to be very friendly to the clan leaders. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif Bribing could be a good way to start http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif

Some clans, you need to play with them a lot until one day they invite you in.

So, apart of some training programs (some clans have very good training programs even Freedom Fighters are jealous at), and the opportunity to learn from good players (I am always envious of Wolf_Cubs for what Kocmoc, Magyar could have told them and not anyone else; or what Elites, Fears and others could have told their recruits), and opportunity to play exciting clan-based tournements such as Clan-War-Contests (CWC) and Clan-War-Belt (CWB), there is not much difference between being solo (or Ronin, a Shogun-legacy term) or being a Clanie.

Have good fun and may you find your own path of enlightment.

ps.: As for Freedom Fighters, we are looking for friendship first, marriage much much later http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/flirt.gif

Oh... to add a little thing after read your post...

Eventhough FF does have a join up form on their site, if you paid well attention to it you should have noticed you cannot join up our TW division through it, or in other words its TW division does not use recruiting emails, eventhough some other ones do... Which means that if you tried to get into FF for TW by filling in the form, the result of it will never get send to TW members of FF http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Then again knowing that our site is partially obscured from TW community, the chance you actually visited our place is not that big http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Anyways good luck finding your home http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Hi Bludhall, I would suggest that you go online and play a number of games with a variety of people.

Get to know people, and let them get to know you. Once you get a group of friends you play against reg see which clans they belong to and take if from there.....

also most clans have ezboards which r normally checked each day,so if u post ur user name and timezone and what sort of time ur on at, that will help members of the said clan to keep a eye out for u.
so it might help to try that out first then hopfully u'll meet up.

Yep....Just join different games, you will soon find who you enjoy playing with. Sooner or later you will be invited
