The title says it all. Just wondered if they are using Jeff Van Dyke again for RomeTW?
His stuff is great, and he always manages to totally nail the mood and feeling of the historical periods.
None of the music in Shogun, SWL, or MTW is actually authentic, but is sure sounds like it is.
I did a search both here and at the TW site, but found no mention of who is doing the music.
Cheers

Based on Time Commanders I would say "Yes, definitely". Jeff is in the TC credits for providing the in-battle music and it suits the RTW atmosphere well so it is not reused from the previous games. From what I have heard in TC the RTW soundtrack is going to be very good indeed.

Of course we are - Jeff's joined us as resident sound & music guru at the Oz studio, don't you know... he'll be a permanent fixture from now in all CA games, I would imagine, unless it all becomes too much for him http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Yes, he did do Emperor's music and as usual it was very good. I still have it on my hard drive even though I took the game off some time ago.
To celebrate the certainty of good music for RTW I am going to listen to the VikingWin music several times http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
I think the VI soundtrack was his best work so far. Bloody marvellous
Looking forward to what he comes up with for the Gauls, Britons and Germans
Thanks JeromeGrasdyke
