Can we please have an official position on the Patch issue?

I got news of the Patch last night before it was 'pulled', but because I did not have the time last night I waited till today. I went straight to the .Com site and downloaded the Patch and saw no notice that it was no longer official. In fact I had no idea that there was anything wrong with it or that Activision had withdrawn it till much later in the day when I checked here.

It is now installed on my version of the game. Is this now a good thing or a bad thing?

Check the official patch thread in the main hall I copied a post from Erado San about the official postion of the patch , check it out it is interesting...LOS

Ok just to keep everyone up with what I know on the issue, there are a couple of links that will be working this weekend at least. Erado stated in another forum the following:

Despite the strange message on 3DGamers.com about the patch being recalled, the patch that has been released IS the real thing. I can't believe why that message is put up there... Maybe Activision didn't want 3DGamers to have it on their downloads before Activision has it on their own... Or there is something wrong with the Activision installer. But not with the patch as far as I know.

So far as I can tell Activision are showing again how little they care about their customers by withdrawing what is a working patch.
