hi all my first post.


ive played the total war games and add ons since their creation and love them all.

i play as quite a few different factions but my favs are spain and my own nation, England.

one thing irritates me bout spain is that their are two links to africa in the two southern territories.

is it possible to mod the game slightly to stop one of these liks working? thus making spain a 3 entrance country instead of 4?

You can do the modding yourself. In TotalWar\campmap\startpos are campaigns txt files. Open the one you want to edit, find the line:
SetNeighbours:: ID_MOROCCO ID_ALGERIA ID_GRANADA ID_CORDOBA ID_STRAITS_GIBRALTAR ID_ATLANTIC_COAST ID_MOORISH_COAST

and delete ID_CORDOBA leaving all the rest like this:
SetNeighbours:: ID_MOROCCO ID_ALGERIA ID_GRANADA ID_STRAITS_GIBRALTAR ID_ATLANTIC_COAST ID_MOORISH_COAST

Then find the line:
SetNeighbours:: ID_CORDOBA ID_PORTUGAL ID_MOROCCO ID_GRANADA ID_VALENCIA ID_CASTILE ID_LEON ID_GULF_VALENCIA ID_GULF_CADIZ ID_STRAITS_GIBRALTAR

and delete ID_MAROCCO. oh, and save the file

I've, also, always thought that there shouldn't be a land bridge into Spain. It'll give Spain a chance to Tech-Up in the Early Period before having to deal with Almo.

Just wonder, how Almo will be effected.

It'll really be interested with the MedMod's Early Period

Med Mod IMO is the best Mod out for totalwar,every faction is now unique with its own units and homelands where these units can be built.very challanging and tougher than the bog standard MTW,i suggest you give it a whirl and your eyes will be opened.
