i got this problem....i go and raid for a few years, get a good stockpile of cash, and settle back to let the AI kill itself. it wont, all the saxons live happily with mercians and welsh, sitting on their growing costs of maintaining the nobles. DAMMIT I WANT CHAOS. i converted ireland to paganism http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif , and after 200 years decided to help the saxons out. i LEVLED the mercian war machine, and the sax's just sit, happy with their meager starting land.

have you guys figured oput any way of making them take to each other?

I get the same problem on the main campaign as well. Everybody sits their so its up to me to get them going.

I really sucks, i remember the days were if you sat around you'd have the french up your arras trying to steal you lands. Now they sign alliances with everyone in Europe and wait for hell to freeze over. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif

I guess you could edit the faction behaviour to agressive that might get people going again like in the good old days. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/idea.gif

Actually after taking a relatively small army on a very fun romp straight through the lands of Northumbria, Mercia, and Saxony at the start of the Viking campaign, the lands fell into disarray as they scrambled to recover the lost provinces that I had left as rebels. It got them into a war that destroyed the Northumbrian income because of Mercian attacks and my raids... also the Mercians started to become dangerously powerful so I concentrated on them after a while... after that I noticed that now Saxony was getting powerful... in the meanwhile the Picts and Scots were killing each other, and the Irish were looking at that, trading, and also making loads of their crappy troops. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Sorry but Saxony was in Germany the saxons in England were just saxons

Saxony in Germany is called "Saxony" becuase the Saxons came from there.

I knooooooow, but the Saxon land in England were not called Saxony as you have suggested
