Hey guys I'm looking for a mod which doesn't replace anything in the game. Maybe a new faction mod or something for VI? Dark Ages Mod? Whatever I just want to play a new mod. I've abandoned my Britannia mod because my game will not start if I have it installed http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif So please point me in the right way

It won't play when I have my Britannia Mod installed. I have everything placed right, and I wait for it to start for 10 minutes and it doesn't. I'm going to try again on it. Hopefully it will be done soon.

cant help with specifics, there are soooo many things that can go wrong,

what i do when modding is

say i am editing the campmap/startpos script Early.txt,
i make a zip backup of Early.txt,
then make ONE change, ie change the starting units for one faction, or change the start leader, etc.
then test the game loads,
if it does i zip the file again and make by next change,
every ten backups i go play a cmapaign, to make sure that part works,
attack someone and manual resolve the battle, make sure that works,
then go and play a custom battle - make sure that works too,
then i go back to modding,

is a slow and at times annoying process, but if i make a MAJOR stuff up, well i have my rollback file, i simply delete the broken file and try again...

if you DO completely abandon brittania please zip it up and upload it to Beta Files Section, someone may take it over, or they may use some of the things you have created to flesh out their own mod - the more resources we have for modding the better...

in the meantime i hope you keep working on Brittania,
it sounds like a nice idea to me...
