I have this question - is it possible to change the game in such a way that one turn equals one season (like in STW) and not one year? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif
Thanks for your replies. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

it's probably hard-coded somewhere in the game, but you could give it a shot. I would certainly enjoy it.

Kinda sucks not being able to say, "I'm going on my spring campaign" like you could in shogun http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Hi ... if there was an answer for this I think it should have been in the startpos files ... but I have not seen it.
I think this is a CA oriented question.
Cheers
Konnichiwa,
I haven't seen a switch in the startpos to use seasons. I fear it's hardcoded.
I'ld actually prefer the game clock to use months, modder/user sets the desired number of them for a turn: 1 month, 2 months, a season, half a year or a full year.
The productionfiles would use months too, a building/unit will be completed (and the next one in queue build), once the new turn is larger than or equals the construction time. Example:
Unit of spearman takes 6 months to train.
Month: 6 months and 6 turns.
Seasons: 6 months and 2 turns.
Year: 6 months and 1 turn, so after 12 months.
i think MTW does have seasons because i once attacked a province after four other attacks on the same turn and it was snowing
thanks dessa
Turn limit is hardcoded,
and IIRC
on any given turn the first attack is in spring,
the second in summer, the third is autumn and the fourth (and i believe any subsequent attacks) are in winter,
it also depends on terrain (arid never has snow for example),

Thanks Barocca I didnt know that. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif
it is just a pity we cant determine which attacks will be resolved first - at least i have not spotted a coherent pattern to them...

I did some testing on that, and for me it seems the order of battles is random. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/dizzy.gif
Its kind of disappointment for me, but on the other hand there is still sth in the game I cant be sure of... http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
