i was reading in the events documentation and all of a sudden a whole lot of things popped up and they seemed like cheats at first then i looked down and it had a faction remote option can this be exploited

Yes there is a way but its kinda complicated http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/idea.gif
first you have to put the command line in your .exe it is
-ian this allows you to chane factions during the camoaign so if lets say you pick the poles and in the year 1089 AFTER the tour you press 3 you switch instantly to the byzntines 2 aloms and etc etc 1 are rebels and after the numbers end on 9 hold shift and ceep changin shift+2 spanish 3 turks etc etc...so someone can play mp campaign by choosin a faction and send the save game to the other player who switches to his faction and puts his moves then the other then the other HOWEVER there is a problem you CANNOT play battles and of course with the other player as with the AI cause you cannot end the tour before the other player submits his moves and thus if you play your battles the other player(s) wont...

ps: if you like the idea we could start an experimental mp camp an see how it goes my mail's arxidamos2003@yahoo.gr

If its that easy and all they had to do is add the battles in? then why oh why dont we have a mp campaign?

It has been tried....

and there are some issues;

I suggest talking to Shadewolf for an update of the technical aspect of it and any turnaround he may or may not have found...

Ian works with the patch perfectly what is the main problem now?Well IF we had a tool that allowed us to create a startpos with the whole turns submitted this could give us the chance to play even battles online or with the AI in custom...what i mean is that lets say the king of denmark moves 1 unit of vikings to saxony while the hre emp moves 1 unit of archers to saxony...Now if we could open the savegame files (we would need a wild tool for that) we could arrange a battle between the danes and germans involving 1 unit of vikings and 1 unit of archers... each turn would be smth like a new start pos with the new turns submitted and whole moves done also with the outcomes of the battles by HUMAN players angainst AI(if not all of the factions are controlled by players) generated in whole detail by using the logfiles from custom and mp battles...now if the CA would be kind enouth by providing us with the tool that can edit savegame files
this would ease uor pain of the delay of RTW...

PS:im still waitin volonteers for the experimental mp campaing
PS2:the diplomacy problem can be solved easily just the tow factions that DECIDED to have to have two emmissries and to send them at the same time to each other thus the AI cant cancell the egreement.

MTW crashes i have tried to play when i press end turn it crashes it has ian in the command line suggestions please

-ian works fine with VI, I havent installed the patch yet, so I cant comment.

The main problem is you cant fight battle, and a nasty side effect is, that the AI will give orders to any unit or provinces that you have not allocated orders to.

ie u have two provinces and 2 armies, you only want to build one unit due to money problms etc, if you dont build the AI after you press end turn MIGHT do it for u........

But imho that is onlt a small probelm, I have a campaign called small factions running, but have been a little busy , so its has fallen by the way side for the moment..........

I will talk more about this later..... (after Ive finished at work)
