Logfile Reader Program

Hi I am writing a program to read logfiles. I started with the idea for it to work just for MTW/VI, but now have been urged to go whole hog and make it all encompasing with an eye to being up upgraded for RTW.

I just went out this weekend and ploped down my ten bucks and got STW/WE, mostly to see how the logfile structure worked, and now am hooked on STW as well as MTW. (thanks a lot CA http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wacko.gif

What I need is some input on what youz guys and gals want to see in a new reader. I know that there are other readers out there, but I have a lot of time on my hands and am looking for a new programming project. Besides, one can never have enough tools.

Good idea.

There is one thing I would like to see in a logreader, if at all possible and that is:

Make a logreader based on Magyar Khan/Polar reader and also add and option to view the unit stats (ie attack/defence stats etc) could be a 2 page reader one page classical logreader next page unit stats etc.

Thanks for your intended efforts, like you said good tools are always useful.

Also, please make it easy as possible to install, I know alot of peeps have probs with the readers currently available.

Polar's reader has a unit stats page and a unit cost page as well...

A logfile reader that knows which stats were loaded when the game is loaded and displays them in a manner not unlike Ugly Polars' Total War Log Browser.
