I have made a unit using the Mounted Sergeant BIF, the 1st shield, I know what the problem is exactally. The 1st shield uses the faction logo and if the faction doesn't have a flag for it etc, I just need to know how to make it so the shield doesn't use a faction logo but just uses the shield itself, hopefully that made sense.

Just delete MountedSergeants folders in TotalWar\Battle\FacShield\Hires and in TotalWar\Battle\FacShield\Lores. And that should do. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif

the problem with that method is you lose the faction logo on the shields for all factions,
if you have a specific faction you want NOT to have a "logo"
simply make a 1x1 pixel .bif file that is only green, RGB (0,128,0)
and name it to the faction you want and put it in both hires folder and lowres folder

(have not had time to trst this - it should work, the facshield is just an overlay)
