i finished all in the game on expert level but( campaigns with clans or characters ) but i really cant win in the first battle from Hideyoshi campaign; not at all;
any clues?

Yama you just have to keep playing it until you spot something. I have completed it but can't remember which one it is...
Is it the one against Akechi Mitsuhide? against Red and Green?
You just have to kill both enemy Daimyo and they will start to run if you pressue their men after that! http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

My Ninja were swamped by Nagis and didnt last long, When I won i moved all my troops except 1 YA and 1 Arq I used these troops to take out that small WM that comes in the beggining when the Monks were fighting Aketchi charged in and I sent 1 of my YS to deal with him, he died a few mins those Nagis that come up the hill were hard to deal with and I had to use an Arq to slow them down while i got my remaining YA, YS and Hideyoshi in a group I used these to take 1 of them out while the group that had taken out the WM slowed down another. That group in the end was wiped out and I had to fight those Nagis with Hideyoshis group. In the end i had 59 units left...
LordTed i want to play om line but i'm very busy ( i'm lawyer ) ; i play a few times at work with some guys from my office that likes this game; until now i'm the champ ;
but in that battle is smthin that i missjudged; i manage to kill one general but i cant do it with the second;

The trick is to get all your units over the bridge... i wondered, why the hell the bridge is there...just bring your units over the bridge. You can kill all the enemy units with your guns. And I can say it again:
You have to prepare for Odawara...A damn hard battle!
Kill both generals will help a lot.
Both Akechi Mitsuhide and Kono Tatsuoki are of rank 4 in this set-up. Thus they give their already strong troops +2 bonus.
GAH! You must do the following to counter the stigma you have 'acquired':
1. Download ALL the Vanya maps
2. Play online every day
3. Each time you play online, host a 2v2 or greater on any of the Vanya maps. Use of any other map is strictly prohibited.
4. Repeat until Vanya maps are widely played.
By this time, you will have acheived greatness in the eyes of many. All will embark on pilgrimages to your homeland in the hopes you will fart in their general direction.
Do this, and your woes will dissipate into thin air like a fart at sea. Do this not, and the curse that looms over you will plague your children for generations to come!

I cant beat the 3rd battle in the Hideyoshi campaing my troops routed before they even got close... and why is it that Your archers are always placed in a spot where they will die in the first 2 mins!?

really now..i love this game and i play ( on line included ) when i have some time to spent..i think i'm repeting myself i'm very busy and i have an non-related with comps job so is problematic to be on-line to play when u work even on sundays ;i just asked the experienced players ;no need to underline me that is necessary to play on-line; i know that this is axiome

I managed to win this battle by withdrawing all my troops onto that small hill in the corner.

...ahhh, but against the AI it works. AI does not makes any coordinated attack, it will send its troops in small (or not so small http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif) groups against you. you can beat them one by one. beware that you have Arq wheres the AI has musketeers, so dont engage in a gun duel (if not necessary http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif). flank the nagis they will run.
At the end I had planty of troops left http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

I don't think that a player is better, if he plays online... i never play online but won all battles, campaigns with professional...
