The reason I ask it is I was thinking that it would be nice to have battles that have NAMES. Something like;
Siege of Athens
Tigris River
Brenner Pass

In addition it would be nice to have a Campaign Battle Summary screen that would be updated for each battle and give you stats like;
Battle Name
Date
Season
Opposing Faction
Your Army Size/Casualties/Captured/etc.
Opposing Faction /Casualties/Captured/etc.

CA could make it like a historical scroll.

Just a thought.

Yes... that would be a nice feature.

There are regions in the game though... as in just a piece of the map with a name, and nothing else. The cities and their hinterlands are your territory remember.

I guess that doesn't really have much to do with this, but the subject reminded me of it http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/idea.gif

if they were to name thos geoghraphical areas it would get to crowded for my taste but a history text would be a cool feature and it would revolutionize the story forum here at the org

Such a feature was in Star Wars: Rebellion.
At first it was realy cool to fight the Battle of Alderaan, but it did get a bit boring when you fought the 6th battle of Endor. Especially when some of the battles had been nothing more than skirmishes.

So be careful of what you wish. But naturally if the game will keep track of many hundred of places, then it might be a good idea.

Well, some people fought all their lives in almost one place (Kanawajima anyone?)

Yeah, wasn't it like 7 battles there?
But many of those were small skirmishes, only the first and fouth were real battles, but then they really did go all out and kill everything they had. Crazy guys those two (Shingen and Kenshin).

Crazy but excelent strategists. A pity they hadn't the vision of Nobunaga and were so tied of bushido.

Indeed... They should have allied. Japan would be theirs for the taking. They simply couldn't be matched in the field.

I think Nobunaga said something like: "Now Japan is mine." when Kenshin died. I guess it doesn't shine through that he is my favourite Japanese warlord... hehe http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif
