remembering

Recently I reloaded MI....and was reminded what an excellent game it is But it seems no one plays it anymore. This was also the first time I have played it on my newer PC....a Dell 2Ghz 512 ram that locks up when I try to exit the game. Also an ingame question because I cant remember. Playing as the Mongols I could only build forts and had no spies etc.....is this correct? Anyone come up with a mod that lets you use Mongol spies and assasins?

Yes. I don't know if there is a mod that allows you to build other things as the mongols, I do know of several modded campaigns that inserted the mongols into the regular campaign and let you fight against them with guns etc.
