we've all had to put up with the frustration of having nice starting generals or worse, our precious heirs, assigned to undesirable units. i'll bet most of us have to do the save/reload shuffle to get around htis more often than not.

lately i've tried playing games with larger max units to add some flavor to the campaign, and i like the two turns it takes to train but it really exacerbates the general/heir problem. especially since i quick save constantly, and their is no way to cancel a unit in the process of being built.

any mods circumvent this? or some quick bit of line editing i can do myself? i'd even settle for making large units buildable in one turn, if that's possbile. as it is now large units are just to frustrating: i will not have son carousing with ashigaru

thanks. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/tongue.gif

Bump.
I wouldn't mind knowing the answer to this one.
Is a bit crap when number one son's leading a unit of Ashigaru.
I have to pretend I done it to keep him humble.
"Son ,lead this unit well ,and one day you will be true Samurai ,and get your own horse."
