View Full Version : A thought on the animals...

Theoretically you should be able to build an army consisting entirely of those dogs and\or flaming pigs...
But if this is true, how would it be decided which unit was the general? Would it be the down to which dog barked loudest or which pig was fattest? Would these animal units have stats like other units e.g. a pig with nine loyalty, six piety etc and would they be able to pick up V&V's? Could a flaming pig unit be a governor or will they not function like other units?
I have a very limited knowledge of these units and would like to know some facts about them so any answers would be appreciated, apologies for any questions ive asked that have been asked previously\are stupid :P
As far as I know the units have handlers so I'm assuming that those will be the generals.
it proberly be a speicla function for catalupts like roman legionaaires have pilums, and archers have flamming arrows.

I think the inclusion of these units could be as humorous as it will be irritating :P
The thought of a fully upgraded horde of dogs (all armour, weapon, morale and valour bonuses) destroying a roman legion is potentially hilarious http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Well you can have peasants commanding armies in medieval. A pig handler is a specialized peasant so it's not all that different. I just hope you guys have some better units than pig handlers in your army so they could be generals.
I am curious as to how the armour weapons discipline and morale upgrades would work though.
Geuss we put the pooches in obiedience school, sharpen their claws and teeth, equip them with armor, and then say "good boy" and give him a treat.
