Hurray The guns finally explode...FREQUENTLY. Haven't tested the better cannon yet, but the bombards are down right hazardous. Nice touch

I've seen demi cannnons explode before. Havent tried bombards or siege cannons enough to see those explode.

Maybe too nice. I looked in the file, and they only have 3 safe shots, after which there is a 10% chance per turn that they'll explode. This means that half will have exploded by the 8th shot on average. I carried four of them to a siege once, and all four exploded before they could bring down a single section of wall COMBINED I eventually changed it to 15 safe shots and a 5% chance. This will be in the next Medmod release, if anyone is interested.

I never use bombards anyway.

Demi & full Culverins are vastly more useful and catapaults are adequate until they can be replaced by them.
Culverins do still blow up sometimes (that or get shot by ballistae) but so infrequently that there is no need to worry about it.

Hard to do when you don't yet have facilities to build Demi and Culverins...

Catapults get knocked out in one or two shots when you are engaging strong fortifications (fortress/citadel).

Wes is right about them blowing up a lot. Historically, the frequent explosions are probably more accurate than we would like to admit. Even in the US Civil War, large siege guns were very prone to exploding after only a few rounds. I would expect early weapons to be temperamental. It takes 4 or more to penetrate most walls now...because they start blowing up after a few rounds.

It's always a bad idea to keep a general too close to siege weapons.

at last i managed to use the mortars,they really do kill alot,especially in castle seiges,since they can go around the castle walls wich is pretty good before the inital castle assualt.
