View Full Version : Played MTW for the first time in months last night
I have almost forgotten how addictive this game is. I started a new Spanish, High campaign and took over the south and west of France from the Brits and I kicked the Almo's out of Spain, but the darn Italians came in and took some Almo territory and so now I am going to have to fight them. I had a really nasty battle with the Aragonese before I eliminated them and I haven't even been excommed yet.

Ive stopped playing and come back to it many times myself, its a great game because it has such a lasting appeal, Shogun was the same http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
I also adore this game both in MP as SP, it is wonderful. I have also completed another campaign in old Shogun for some days ago, I sometimes go back to that brilliant game.
But if you talking about addiction, omg you have never played EverQuest have you? =D That game eats your life from the bottom and up
Take care /{RVN}KeePah
Before I got married over the summer, and while I still lived alone, I used to spend entire weekends playing this game. I would order a couple of pizzas and stay up until 3am then go to bed, wake up, eat cold pizza, watch TV, shower and play until 3am again. Sunday rolls around, finish off the pizza, play a little bit, and then do some chores to get ready for the week.
I had to take a little break to take the LSAT and apply to law school but the test is done and the apps are out so I'm back on the horse as much as my wife will let me. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif

word. I'm a gamer in some ways, as in, I play games often. But I don't like most games. Its just that there are a select few that have a lot of replay value for me. MTW is one of those games, and for its type of game, its has a suprisingly great replay value (mostly its just racing sims that stay with me)

Hey, I think Dhepee is onto something. Preparing the wife for what it'll be like when they've been married for twenty years. Start ignoring her now, I say, so she'll be prepared to live with an old fart. Sadly, that's what we all hope to live to be. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
Spending too much time playing MTW? My wife knows the feeling.

Ahh the eternal battle between queen and conquest... Imagine how Medieval Kings felt, its not like their wars had a pause button or a savegame option http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
