I have the S:TW Warlord Edition, it's great fun and makes a change after playing M:TW for months.

However, I know the intro movie is new. Was there an intro movie on the original S:TW, and is it available to view or download anywhere?? I'm curious to see it.

The intro video from old shogun appears when you start a new campaign, it is the swordsman practicing in a field at sunset.

You may already know this, Franky, the intro to MI is taken directly from the movie RAN, by Akira Kurosawa. The sound is changed to reflect a scene from MI.

Cheers, Sinan-san I heard it was from RAN (a version of King Lear) but didn't know the soundtrack was different. Just watched the original movie. I also got to enjoy most of the ninja, and all of the geisha, movies during my first game in that era tonight Easy l level is too easy - even if I build no armies, my ninja and geisha dismember the opposition

I did have great fun watching the trailer movies too - after the interminable downloads

I was surprised when I first saw Ran, but of course the sound there would make a lot of people scratch thier heads if it was in the STW intro.

And if you have never seen Ran, you can find a copy on ebay fairly easily. Do yourself a favor and pick it up When it starts, you think you are watching the movie version of STW. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

All of the Kurosawa films are great my faves are Ran, Yojimbo, Sanjuro and Seven Samurai.

Throne of Blood was cool but really weird with the witches and stuff they really freaked me out. Very different from how shakespeare portrays them.
