Hello Hellenes I hope this helps.

In crusader_unit_prod the 11th entry along a line is the rebelling troop mixes that unit belongs to. If you look at the knights, order foot soldiers, fanatics they all have Crusader(#) entry. This tells the game that this unit should be part of a crusade.

Giving the units buildings to build them should not create problems. Ive tested this and built Templars manually and through crusades.

If you restricted them to certain provinces, even though I havn't tested this, im sure they can only be created from a crusade started from that province, IF AT ALL, it might mess it up and stops it being built If you restricted all crusading units to provinces then this could be the problem.

You can restrict them to single factions and give them a province where they get a bonus from that province.

By the way how did you end up with clansmen and were you the English? Im thinking that when you started a crusade there where no units specified so it gave you clansmen, as its the first unit in the file. But then again clansmen can only be built in Scotland, which kinda contradicts what I said earlier.
