The foyer is a big mish mash of mtw and vi i think the old priv chat rooms would help bring order to the chaos, for example a room created Vi patch room, for players with vi and mtw room for players with mtw.

id enjoy creating your own private chat room. It would be great for team meetings.

No worries, you'll get used fast to the mtw/vi sharing... For some reason mtw 1.1 players end up fast on ignore lists

Since the introduction of VI most people have been complaining about the ...split foyer.
Since the patch that problem has been eliminated.
So what would be the point in creating separate chat rooms for MTW VI and VI patch??

The reason being you end up chatting to players and arranging games with people on diff games, and peeps create 4v4s and there may only be 2 vi players in the foyer although the list shows 30 players, im not talking about having split foyers just chat rooms that could be anything from vi games, mtw games, cwb room, 1v1 tournament room, khans ger (wolves discussion room) in otherwords why take away a good thing? how on earth could you hold a tournament in the current foyer it would be a shambles http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I miss the chat rooms very much. They were ideal for Clam meetings, recruitment, training sessions, especially for tournaments, and other types of community building activitys. It sure would be great to get them back
I also miss the log on- log off announcements. Multiplayer is all about people, so their comings and goings are very important.
And last but not least, I understand the reasoning behind combining the MTW and VI foyers. In theory it sounded like a good thing. Unfortunately in practice, I believe most have found it to be a royal pain. I know I have, and wish it had never been done.

Sometimes I wonder if most of our requests look like this to CA...
First many people were upset about the "split community" feeling that seperate MTW and VI chat rooms created. Now people are saying it was better before the patch. So which is it? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif
Use CTRL+left click and you can private as many people as much you want. Also, you can host a game and invite the people you want to talk to. Dont forget to pw the game and to give it an apporiate title

Our priv chat box and hosting chat box isn't all that big, so i hope in rtw they use the *whole screen* and increase the the sizes of them.
They also need to add some color to the foyer and do away with that funky writing, in caps it looks really bad.
We should not be so limited on how much we can type at one time and be able to type up to paragraph or so.
Need to get rid of being able to repeat something serveral times, which is a spammers dream. Keeping what you previously typed is nice, but not being able to spam it many times.
Able to have serveral priv chats with people. When you want to change your priv chat box writing to a new priv chat you have going with someone, you can minimize your current one and click on a minimized priv chat and it goes into your priv chat box. Baz, i already know you can change the foyer font. I'm just talking about things that need to be or would be nice to have inculded when you buy the game. I just want to see a better game overall to help keep players from leaving and increase the numbers that play online.
in that context i completely agree, we should not have to make a mod to make the font readable.

Hm..I have no problems with this font, perhaps because I'm used to this kind of letters... but it's rare to see games that allow for font changes by default.
