I recently purchased Shogun: Total War Warlord edition, and in reading the enclosed information realized that for some buildings and units I am told that they are unavailable in the Warlord Edition campaign. Does this mean that I must purchase the origional Shogun: Total war to use these? (I thought that the Warlord edition was the origional game plus the Mongole expansion pack.)
Thanks for your time.

That's there because they left them out, isn't it?
All the buildings from the older version are in the new one.
The WE adds buildings like the Drill dojo.

Nope...!
Warlord Edition contains the orginal game Shogun played in the Sengoku Jidai period and it have been improved with new units and building. All the new Buildings/units are available if played in the Sengoku Jidai period. But WE (Warlord Edition) also contains Mongol Invasion, the is earlier in the Japanese histroy, and some specific units/buildings are not available simply because of the lack of technology. However some new units are available in the Mongol Invasion campaign, X-bowmen.
Hope u understand, if not ask again http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif
