hi all

just recently i was playing through my Turkish GA campaign, and had sent out a number of agents to spy upon other realms...i checked upon my emmissary in England and lo and behold the the british isles were held by rebels...strange thing was that the English king at that timewS Richard II and the leader of the rebels was henry Bolingbroke.....studying Shakespeares Richard II at the moment and strange as it seems, the events that took place in my game are similar to that of history. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/dizzy.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/eek.gif

i was just wondering if anyone else has similar occurances where the AI has acted as history has been acted out?

cheers

I have had that happen to me many many times. Usually it happens most during the 13th centuries, and late 14th.
I had, in about 1154, my King was Stephen I http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/eek.gif , and then he died in 1154, and his heir was HENRY II. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/eek.gif http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/eek.gif Creepy..

I believe it is because the game generates historically based heros who appear as kings or as leaders of rebels at the right moment. It is not surprising then that a Bolingbroke was a rebel leader. I play as the Germans and about the time that the Swiss emerge it is very difficult to avoid a revolt.
