I guess it is possible, one of my friends added kanun and ney to Ottoman battle musics, recording the tracks at home... I will get the details and let you know here.

*Edit*

I've managed to chnage the startup music for the Napoleonic total war mod.

It now has most of the Sharpe them tune - Over the Hills and far away'

Heres the link if anyone wants it for their mod

Just convert it into .wav from .mp3 and rename it to frontend.wav

Just put it in your sounds/music folder

Cheers Monkian, just so you know, The Lordz have a music add-on for NTW we just are sorting the hosting bits atm so I will make an announcement when it is available for download, the music is all Nap period pieces , Marches, etc. I think it adds a new dimension to the game and is a bit refreshing...LOS

Nice one LOS - I've manged to find a few suitable tunes by John Tams who played the crack shot rifleman Daniel Hagman in the TV series of Sharpe.

I went a bit overboard trying to replace most of the music files and ended up crashing it http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif

I'll keep a look out for your update
