How....how?????

I was showing one of my battle replays to a friend and my glorious army which had routed the enemy who outnumbered me 7 to 1, was escaping?? How can that be possible. Do battles saves change? I am so frustrated, I can eat the mouse... http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif

If it is from before the patch, then it won't happen as it did when you played it. You might as well delete them, or have an old 2.0 exe file around.

Yep, what Kraxis said.
Some MP issues have been addressed in v2.01 and that also affects how units behave in the field in singleplayer. And since the replays are actually re-enactments of your battle and not saved movie clips, the battles will now be fought under the new rules and at some time the orders you gave then just don't make sense anymore and the whole thing will go out of synch. It's sad, but acceptable because now we have a better game and there'll always be new glorious battles to fight. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
If you have another 2 GB of HD space left, yes, then you can install the 2.0 version just to view your replays http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/tongue.gif

you dont need to reinstall ALL of MTW v2.0,
just need a copy of the 2.0 executable, give it a different name and drop it into the MTW directory
that should replay 2.0 files just fine.

don't need to do that to change the game. Apparently the 'swipe' applied in more normal instances too in some lesser capacity.
