View Full Version : Why wait for R:TW?

You won't have to wait as long as for R:TW but it will be possible in the near future. A few weeks ago I posted my first Hoplite model and I have steadily making progress. I have now finished:
- Hoplite: spear and sword
- Spartan Hoplite: spear and sword
- Greek cavalry: spear and sword
- Skirmisher: archers and peltasts
- Macedonian infantry: sword, spear and pike
- Macedonian cavalry: spear and sword

Soon I will add:
- Armoured hoplite
- Persian infantry
- Persian cavalry

Request to historians:
I'm interested in some detailed reviews of ancient battles between Macedonians, Athenians, Spartans and Persians. I'm not looking for cool stuff but historical references and possibly maps with tactics drawn on them.
If there is enough serious interest (people who Time Commanders "sucks" should not be bothered to reply) we might want to start a thread in the Mead Hall.

Anyhow here are some new screenshots:

COOL

I might want to try it. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

But you mention "spear and sword"... What do you mean by that? Two units? Or two weapons for each?
