Ok guys,

Now that our little community has grown somewhat, I feel it is time to unveil an idea ive been hatching for some time now. For all us MP players out there, hows about we start an online campaign? Brother derfel and I have been working through ways to make this work, and now its time to see who might be interested. Anyway, heres the plan:

We organise several teams of players, and each team takes a nation in NTW, so we end up with a British team, a french team, a russian team, etc etc.

Each player on the team is a General or Marshal of his nation, and has an army corps to control (this could be 2/3/4 (?) NTW army 'stacks&#39http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

One player on each team assumes the role of commander, and directs the movements of his team members.

The game would be played 'in character', so for example, the leader of the french team would be Napoleon etc etc.

The movements of armies is to be done through written orders with reference to a map of Europe. When armies come into contact, the battle is resolved in an MP game.

Diplomacy will be allowed between teams (in character emails between team leaders) from armistices, ceasefires, truces, and other more substantive agreements such as allowing troops through your territory and true alliances.

These are extremely simplified points of the campaign, in order to get people interested. If you are interested, leave a post and we can discuss further, or visit the thread at RFG: http://pub162.ezboard.com/froyalf....2.topic (http://pub162.ezboard.com/froyalfootguardclanforumfrm13.showMessage?topicID=2.topic)

Sounds nice.

Online Multiplayer Campaigns can work and be a lot of fun. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

They can also be very time-consuming for the organizers, so you want to make sure you keep the whole game as simple as possible. I may not have much time to help organizing things right now, but if you need more players, I'd be interested.

Is there a site which shows the manual or maps ?

Uxbridge you could make a flash web site or smth were the map would be and each team leader would submitt the moves...I would like to lead the turks when they are in place...

Yes, the idea is progressing, although we have decided to wait until later versions of the mod are available. We are currently recruting players here:
