Don't worry, one of the incompetent contestants probably marched them towards massed archers before letting them get charged in the rear about 2 minutes after that pic was taken. So not much. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Actually those are Agema Phalangites - the so-called "Sacred Band" in the episode of Leuctra.
They weren't used up until the point where most of the Spartan Hoplites were dead, and when they did they simply reinforced the line - only showing that they can at least handle Spartan Hoplites, but no more. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/mecry.gif
Handle depleted Spartan Hoplites you mean?
But this is interesting... If I lived in England on any other country I could watch the show. Damn, I would rant the team so hard the server would burn out.

Couch Commanders is a feature that will only be visible/available to BBC Digital viewers. Basically, this will be a couple of people second guessing the players in a pithy and amusing way. It's a chance for all the 'commentators' who shout at the telly to do just that in the comfort of a studio and be taped doing it. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Tell them that the time I shouted countless curses and noted out loud the terrible and horrible tactical mistakes of the total idiots that fought the battle of the second episode...
