View Full Version : How do I Create a Faction??
Ok I want to create a faction, the faction being Prussia, I haveng to any experience in moding Total War game stuff, I had a go erlier on but with no apparnt results, so could I have links to guids or templates, or what ever, or some one help me with it please?
I wish to play them so badly but cant :/ also how do I get things like shield/Flag, also Hairs and few other things, I fideld around in the Early txt file, dont worrie im a person that makes backup of stuff that gets alterd so still have original, but any way alterd things and deleted things so thiers no conflict but I faild, due to the EArly then not showing up in the games Campaigne view for some odd reason http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif
I really do need help
Also No I dont have Viking Expansion, if thats whyt youd be thinking to send me to a link that has a mod of which you can play Prussia, but no I cant play any Mod that requires the Viking Expansion, and I have no intention on geting it either, seeing that are dosnt intrest me lol

I'm sure there is something in the Dungeon for adding factions to MTW but I couldn't find it. I don't spend much time at all in the Dungeon forum and I don't mod, so maybe I wasn't looking in the right place. I did find one for VI, though that doesn't help you.

Greetings Imogawa, it would take a very long explanation for all the info of on adding a faction to MTWV1.1 , which technicallly is not adding but overwriting an exiating faction, if you like, give me some particualrs like porvinces you would like and choose from an existing shield type etc, and I will make up a quick mod txt file for you documenting the changes needed, I have been wanting to post a how to on this in the dungeon and I will use yours as an example... http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif LOS p.s Mail me at ronin27k@aol.com Cheers

Ok yea I did look in the Dungeon but could find much useful stuff out of thier http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif what is the VI? any way is it a raught guid or some thing, any way on to you Lord of storms, that be great if you can do that, it be very much appreciated, details are here down the bottom.
Provinces For Prussia:
Brandenburg
Pommernia
Purussia
Unites:
Use the Prussian ones that are already thier and any unite in Pommernia and Brandenburg thatsd avaialable
Capital Province:
Brandenburg
if the HRE is going to broken up for this then, use the HRE'S monarch and heirs for Prussia, including thier generals etc, and make the other provinves Rebel, but resoanbly strong for rebel so they cant be marched over by the French or Polish or who ever, has to be resonable..
Culture:
Pagen Culture please
Religion:
Catholic I cna alawys change it to Pagen later if I wish but cathlic because of unite advantages lol
Give the standerd armmount of Florin for starting difficulty's please
Thats all I can think of atm.
p.s. im sdure IO sew a way on the forums some were that you can make another faction without having to alter another one?? because I looked and poeple sday faction max is either 20 or 32 so and also a reason is why I wanted to create Prussia is that I might want to create a few other minor factions like Saxony, Bavaria, Hanoverian etc etc
Be nice if I cna get an answer on that as well lol

Adding of a new not overwritten faction can be done in v1.1 but it was not so easy, and VI has made the process alot simpler so to speak. It will take awhile for me to work up your mod txt file, but fear not I will get it to you soon, I want to try and do a step by step guide on this to put in the dungeon , after this is finished...LOS

Oh one more thing so it dosnt show as Early in the Campaigne screen in the game can we name it diffrantly to this:
The Grand Campaign
This is so I can have 4 insteaad of 3 and means not having to replace the Early, only if it cna be done without causing to much of a problem

Greetings Chris, you have mail as well I can help with your pomeranian faction just follow what I did in the mod txt files and you can see what was done to overwrite an existing faction quite simple actually...LOS
Hahah ok im back lol, was gone for a dew days, hehehe thanks for the Prussian making faction Storm, btw the only thing I sew wrong with it was the ammount of income in the 3 Provinces so I increased the Income and added a few more TRadeble items and some Natural recources so ill send my copy of what I have to Pipeleaf hehe, sry for not geting back to you Pipe...

Well actually not wrong , you did not ask me about province income?, anyway thats the idea for you to make it your own change it around to suit your tastes, thats what modding is all about, so build, add, change and then share it with the community I lok forward to the finished product, and if you need help along the way you know where to reach me...LOS
