Marrying kings? I never have a lot of success marrying my kings off to other factions. If I send an emissary out to propose marriage, they inevitably get turned down, and it always seems that within a year or two of a new king ascending to the throne, I get the message, "the king thinks the need for heirs is urgent and has therefore married the daughter of a leading aristocrat."
How do you get kings to marry into other factions?

The trick is to marry him off before he assends to the throne. Once I have a prince come of age I start sending all my emmesarries out pimping like mad to find him a cute forigen babe. I do this for the first two or three guys in line, just in case one of the older kids gets bumped off. While you are at it get them boys out killing the bad guys and earning stars and good v&v's.
Mr Whipple has the right idea, I do exactly the same thing. A Muslim prince shows up as married as soon as he becomes King. A Muslim prince also has a much harder time than a Catholic or Orthodox prince of getting a wife.
Generally the only time you will be successful if your empire is small. I get way more proposals accepted in GA than in Domination. Once you start dominating you get a proposal accepted about as often as a Ceasefire.
One way of increasing the chance is to wait until someone offers alliance, reject it, then propose to a Princess.
