So, I d/l the following files for the Napolean Mod:
I'm not exactly sure if I needed that other 7 mb file.
It would help if there was a sticky for installing the NapMod somewhere in the forums.
NTW_B103 45mb
NTW_MOD_b107 2.5mb

I then re-installed MTW w/2.01 patch and VI into a new folder named E:\Games\NapMod. For some reason I had to manually copy every file from the E:\Games\NapMod\Medieval-Total War folder, into their corresponding folders. I did tell the mod to put it in E:\Games\NapMod, was that wrong or right? I had to do this for each of the mod files I downloaded.

When I try to play a campaign 2 problems arise. The first one results with an error window, because the pics don't appear for the factions. At this point I have a 25% chance of the whole game just closing out when I hit enter for the error pop-up. If I make it pass the faction page, where the games starting loading the progress bar, it either stops loading or just closes down.

On the up side I can successfully play individual battles.

How do I correct this problem?
I would like to to make a suggestion as well -with all do respect for the UNPAID modding team.

Fix the installer so it places the files where they need to be and so people don't need to have two versions of the game installed on their box. Please don't frag me -I do appreciate what they have done to make this lovely mod. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/pat.gif

Sorry to hear of your troubles mate, we are working on the installer problem , the wrong path was used for extraction, you have downloaded the correct files and are up to date so far we are working on the next release and should have most of the bugs worked out by then, I think your problem might be in the portrait folder you may have not copied over properly, I would try a clean install extract to a dummy folder then copy and overwrite to the Medieval Total War sub folder and say yes to all on overwirtes this should square things away, if you have any more problems or questions regarding NTW mail me directly at ronin27k@aol.com

Thanks for responding.

Just so that I'm clear on this. After I extract the 45mb file to a dummy folder I can highlight all of the subfolders in the Medieval Total War Folder, which the mod makes, and then paste that right into the main directory.

Then I would do the same for the 107 update.

Yes, thats exactly what you do, and if done correctly it will ask you to reply no,yes, yes to all etc. for the overwrites of course reply yes to all,the exception to this would be the b1.07 prod, build and unit files just copy them in...LOS

The message is from any faction I click on, seems to initiate as soon as the factions screen loads. I have not been able to get past the loading screen after choosing the faction -for the campaign mode. Battle mode is good to go though.

I'm running Norton right now, unistalling 2 instances of the same game has torn up my system. They both crashed on uninstall. LOL. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif

I'll get MSN Messenger setup shortly.

Yes, so I reinstalled everything..copying the subfolders
into the main directory and now it 's even worse. A bunch of pop ups before the game starts and the mods don't show up. I don't feel like uninstalling everything again with what I just went through...so I'm waiting till this mod is finished -or until I get the nerve up again. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif
